Scott Jarvis serves the Lord's church at Garden Ridge in the role of Senior Minister.  His responsibilities include preaching, teaching Bible classes, providing leadership for the office and staff, working as a liaison between the Shepherds and church family, providing some Biblical counseling and personal Bible studies, and serving in whatever other roles the Lord calls him to for the sake of blessing lives and helping God's church to be healthy and strong.

Scott and his wife, Deeann, have been married 23 years and have had the pleasure of training up three children in the ways of the Lord.  Tyler and Christopher are 20 year old identical twins who both attend Lubbock Christian University.  Whitney is 16 years old and currently attends Flower Mound High School.  Deeann is a homemaker and works part-time for Team Financial Strategies.

Scott has been involved in full-time ministry more than 20 years.  He served as a youth minister at the Woodlawn congregation in Abilene, Texas for 7 years and then moved to Portales, New Mexico where he served as youth minister 4 ½ years and then became an instructor of Religion at Eastern New Mexico University and the Director of the Student Center there for 8 years prior to coming to Garden Ridge.

Scott finds great pleasure in reading, teaching the Scriptures, playing racquetball, watching and attending all types of sports (especially the Dodgers), and spending quality time with God and family.

/files/Website Images/Photos/wyattcropped.jpg Trane Wyatt is proud to serve as the Youth Minister to the teens, families, and Garden Ridge church of Christ congregation. His roles range from Bible teaching, relationship-building, leadership training, and spiritual mentorship to event organization, Capture-the-Flag facilitation, and the occasional dose of sleep deprivation. He also considers prayer, fasting, and personal spiritual growth to be of crucial importance to the effectiveness of his ministry.

Trane joined the Garden Ridge ministry team in October 2009. Previously, he was the Youth Minister for six wonderful years at the 3rd & Kilgore church of Christ in Portales, NM. While doing youth ministry there, he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Religion from Eastern New Mexico University.

Portales is also where Trane and his wife Tamara met, courted, were married, and had their first child: a son, Jadyn Ty (3/2008). Shortly after taking the ministry position at Garden Ridge, their second child was born: a daughter, Jordyn Taylor (1/2010). Tamara has an RN degree but chooses not to be employed so she can raise their wonderful children at home and support Trane in his ministry.

Trane is devoted to his God first and his family second. But he also enjoys writing, playing guitar and piano, composing music, playing and watching soccer, and watching movies.
