Trane Wyatt is proud to serve as the Youth Minister to the teens, families, and Garden Ridge church of Christ congregation. His roles range from Bible teaching, relationship-building, leadership training, and spiritual mentorship to event organization, Capture-the-Flag facilitation, and the occasional dose of sleep deprivation. He also considers prayer, fasting, and personal spiritual growth to be of crucial importance to the effectiveness of his ministry. Trane joined the Garden Ridge ministry team in October 2009. Previously, he was the Youth Minister for six wonderful years at the 3rd & Kilgore church of Christ in Portales, NM. While doing youth ministry there, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Religion from Eastern New Mexico University. Portales is also where Trane and his wife Tamara met, courted, were married, and had their first child: a son, Jadyn Ty (3/2008). Shortly after taking the ministry position at Garden Ridge, their second child was born: a daughter, Jordyn Taylor (1/2010). Tamara has an RN degree but chooses not to be employed so she can raise their wonderful children at home and support Trane in his ministry. Trane is devoted to his God first and his family second. But he also enjoys writing, playing guitar and piano, composing music, playing and watching soccer, and watching movies. |
