Day 3
Donna Wallis

Ah Lord God! It is You who have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for You. Your works are wonderful! We know that full well!

Please hear our cry for help, for we have put our hope in Your Word. You have all the power. You have all the wisdom. You are the Holy Sovereign, and there is no where to go but to You, our loving Father.

Oh Lord, please turn our eyes away from worthless things! Our idols have led us into a desert place, and we pant for the water of life. We have neglected Your word and find our faith growing weak from the famine of not hearing Your words. Oh Lord, please come quickly to our aid; do not delay to deliver us from the false wisdom of our culture that would separate us from Your supremacy in our lives. You have all the power and the only wisdom to direct our lives! Please give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts to obey You, that we may be living sacrifices in worship to only You.

Father, you have observed the distractions we have everyday from our phones, computers, games, entertainment, sports. Please deliver us from misusing our time and attention. Please help us use self-discipline and self-control in these areas. Again, Father, we ask that You would turn our eyes away from worthless things. Please teach us to look into the eyes of our family and friends and acquaintances, and free our hands to extend the human touch.

Father, You see every person. You see the multitude of hurting people who feel alone and disconnected, rejected, despised, and misunderstood. You know how that feels. Come quickly to their rescue with Your peace that passes understanding. Let them seek You and find You has the One who supplies every need. Help them know You as their God who forgives all their sins and heals all their diseases, who redeems their life from the pit and crowns them with love and compassion, who satisfies their desires with good things, so that their youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Father, please intercede in family conflicts. Break down every idol and every stronghold that causes strife and unfaithfulness in our homes. Please let Your will be done on earth, and in our homes, as it is in Heaven. Holy Father, we acknowledge that You can break the unbreakable and move the immovable. We believe in the power that raised Jesus from the dead. We believe in the power of Your Name. We believe in your power to resurrect love and faithfulness even from a dead heart. We beg for your healing in our relationships.

Oh Lord, where would we be without Your love and mercy and forgiveness? Thank You, oh our Father, for these unfathomable gifts. We lay our requests before You and wait in expectation.

We praise Your name, no matter what comes, for we trust in You.

In the power of Jesus’ name.

Amen
