Intercession

My awesome God, creator of everything, I come to You with all honor, reverence and glory. I stand amazed at how You work through everything to bring about Your will. I come to you now because we are all in such need of Your presence in our lives. 

For those who are struggling to believe and place their complete trust in You, I ask that You help them see that You desire good for them. Help them to feel You near and to speak to You in prayer, sharing their hearts so they may see You working and grow to trust You and rely on You. 

For the many who suffer with anxiety, I ask that they experience Your peace and the calmness that You provide. Father God, wrap Your arms of comfort around them so they may feel Your strength and love so they may rely on You to carry them through each day. 

I see so many struggling with physical health challenges. Please provide gentle healing for them. Give them physical strength, emotional strength, and the determination to battle through the challenges they face. Keep them from discouragement, and strengthen those caring for them so they may also provide support. 

To those who have lost loved ones, I ask for comfort that only comes from You, Lord, as your Spirit touches each heart. Help them look to the happy memories to recognize the joy of the time they’ve had and cherish those times to ease the pain of loss. 

Because most every family goes through times of struggle, I ask, Father, that You shower all of us with love for one another as we walk together through the relationship challenges that come as we make our way through life. As our families grow and change, give us a focus on being supportive and developing strong relationships so we can truly know each other’s heart and grow even deeper love for each other. Specifically for marriages, God, we need your intervention. Satan is attacking marriages more than ever, and I see so many marriages struggling and failing. Give us all a dedication and determination to work through challenges that come, knowing You desire for these marriages to last for life. Help each person to face their part in harming and healing these struggles while drawing close to You for strength. 

There are many struggling with financial burden and job loss. Lord, help them to trust in You, and give them wisdom as they make decisions on jobs and how to manage the cost of providing for family needs. Help each of us to recognize true needs versus desires. Help each person to trust You to provide what we need and understand that what we want may not be what you see as best for us right now. 

Lord, for those struggling with emotional and mental health issues, give them strength to press forward, even in small steps, as they find their way past the hold these issues have on them. Give them determination, and provide for them strong support people who can walk beside them through the hard times. But God, most of all, help them to rely on the strength that only comes from You. 

Father God, for all of these and the others of us who face challenges that come through life in this broken and fallen world, I ask for protection from the evil one, who works so hard on each of us. He knows our weaknesses and finds ways to trap us, so I ask for You to send Your ministering spirits to surround us and provide strength and protection each day. Help all of us to place our trust in You and know  that You will never give up on us. 

Jesus, we thank you for the sacrifice You made to provide forgiveness for us. We need that forgiveness every day! Help us feel certain of our salvation in You, in spite of our failures. Help us walk with You daily until the time when we will live with You eternally. 

I humbly pray all of this through You, Jesus, and through the Holy Spirit, Amen
