at Ridge Kids
Ridge Kids is the Children’s Ministry at Garden Ridge. At some places of worship there seems to be an unsaid expectation that children should be “seen but not heard.” But our church family and our leadership places high value on our children as vital participants. We want to echo the words of Jesus to “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them.” We provide several programs that provide for the spiritual, emotional, and physical safety of our children at Ridge Kids.
When you visit Garden Ridge, you will always check-in your child at one of our Check-In Stations. After entering your child’s information the first time you visit, you will only need to type their name. The station will print out a security tag with your child’s name for Bible Class and also a Parent Tag with a matching security number. You will use this tag to pick up your child from any of our programs.
We have age-appropriate Bible Classes for every child beginning at 9am. Our committed volunteers and teachers are all screened and background checked so you can know that your child will be safe as they discover Truths about God’s love for them.
On 1st, 2nd and 3rd Sundays during the school year our children may participate in Kids Worship programs. During our main assembly, parents are invited to escort their children to designated areas to be checked in. Our 3 year olds through Kindergarteners attend Christian Soldiers while our 1st through 3rd Graders attend Young Disciples. Each of these programs engage children in song and prayer and games, crafts, or skits.
