How Jesus Taught His Disciples to Pray Daily:
"This, then, is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
'Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
'And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
'For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.'"
Matthew 6:9-13
Prompts To Help You P.R.A.Y. This Way:
P: Praise. Our Father in Heaven, holy is Your name. Begin by praising God for who He is and what He's done.
R: Repent. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Acknowledge any sin. Ask for forgiveness and guidance on how to "make it right" with anyone else involved. Also offer forgiveness to those who have hurt you.
A: Ask. Give us our daily bread. Lead us away from temptation and deliver us from evil. Tell God what you need or want. He cares!
Y: Yield. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Recommit yourself to letting God have control in your life, and end with praise and gratitude.
