Discussion Questions:

1. What purpose has the LORD revealed for your life? How does your purpose fit with the

purpose of Jesus and His Kingdom?

2. What kinds of things lead you to compromise your faith walk? How do you build zeal and

commitment into your life?

3. How is sin being put to death in your life?

4. How does your life fulfill being a priest to those around you? Are you better at bringing

God to the people or the people to God? What would help you grow in the other side?

5. Why is it important that the command of having no other gods before the LORD not lose

relevance? What is the connection with this command and living with zeal and

commitment?

Discussion Questions:

1. What kind of dreams do you have for your life and/or for the church? Is it arrogant to dream

in this way? What role should God play in our dreaming?

2. Why would God take Abram away from his family and other resources of stability to

accomplish his dreams? Is there a lesson for us to learn from this?

3. How many of your dreams are waiting for you to make the first step? Which do we fear

more: failure, or looking foolish and being misunderstood? Why? How have you seen God

work through failure, looking foolish and being misunderstood?

4. Like the fate of the Kodak company, is there any threat of spiritual bankruptcy if we miss

the moment of God’s call and fail to act in courage and trust? How do you discern what

God wants for your life?

5. How is worship a sign of courage and trust in God? How is worship a part of your daily

response to God? What does your worship look like on days other than Sunday?

Discussion Questions:

1. What kinds of things cause your heart to feel troubled? Is there something you are

struggling with right now?

2. Do you believe the times we live in are the worst ever? Even if they are, what do you learn

from Peter, Noah and Ruth that can help you overcome the darkness and hardship?

3. How often do you fall into looking at your circumstances and reacting to them instead of

looking to God and entrusting your circumstances to Him? Why is this a struggle?

4. Which of the three assurances Jesus gives His apostles (There is an afterlife, and you are

welcome—We are not forgotten; He is coming back for us—Jesus is the path and direction

for us) speaks loudest to you right now? Why this one?

5. How is Jesus preparing you for the place He is preparing for us? How are trials and

hardship part of this preparation? How has your path involved a cross, new life, and

ascension to the Father?
