Discussion Questions:

1. What struggles have you had with your flesh driving you to destruction? In what ways have

you resisted God taking over driving your train?

2. How have you focused upon outside actions instead of inside transformation? Why is it so

easy to do this?

3. What things could you point to showing that there is repentance and renewal in your life?

How do these two things show God’s activity in your life and/or in this world?

4. How have you seen the divine working alongside your flesh to proclaim victory and a

different future for you? What security and confidence does it give you to know that

God’s design and call to us is for life to be fulfilled with God and us working together?

5. What does it mean that there is no evolution from flesh to Spirit? Why is it important to

remember this?

1. In what ways have you acted like the sheep from the video in the sermon?

us free from the things we fall into?

2. Walking with God and obeying His commands are what set Noah apart from the culture

around him. How would you evaluate your own efforts at this? Are there any areas that

your Connect Group or family can hold you accountable?

3. How have you seen the enemy still chase after you, even though you have been set free?

4. How successful are you at living with the security of no condemnation? What kinds of things

cause you to question this? Are there things you need to remove from your life to help you

stay focused upon this truth?

5. How refreshing is it to know that in baptism you have already passed through judgment?

How does this help you to see that any suffering you face is not condemnation?

1. How do water, blood and the Spirit provide a witness to who God is and what His mission

is in this world?

2. In what ways have you seen your life pass from darkness to light? From slavery to

freedom? From death to life?

3. How does it help you to know that God does not remove the darkness until heaven? How

does this help you to better understand the trials and challenges we face even when we

are dedicated to following the LORD?

4. How have you seen baptism consistently point to new life and a better future? What

keeps you from understanding how special and valuable you are to God?

5. What does it say to you that God keeps using the same script over and over again

throughout the story of the Scriptures?
