Sermon

Discussion Questions

1. In what ways have you acted like the sheep from the video in the sermon?

(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f97zwQS6I4o) What hope is there for us? Who will set

us free from the things we fall into?

2. Walking with God and obeying His commands are what set Noah apart from the culture

around him. How would you evaluate your own efforts at this? Are there any areas that

your Connect Group or family can hold you accountable?

3. How have you seen the enemy still chase after you, even though you have been set free?

4. How successful are you at living with the security of no condemnation? What kinds of things

cause you to question this? Are there things you need to remove from your life to help you

stay focused upon this truth?

5. How refreshing is it to know that in baptism you have already passed through judgment?

How does this help you to see that any suffering you face is not condemnation?

Discussion Questions:

1. How do water, blood and the Spirit provide a witness to who God is and what His mission

is in this world?

2. In what ways have you seen your life pass from darkness to light? From slavery to

freedom? From death to life?

3. How does it help you to know that God does not remove the darkness until heaven? How

does this help you to better understand the trials and challenges we face even when we

are dedicated to following the LORD?

4. How have you seen baptism consistently point to new life and a better future? What

keeps you from understanding how special and valuable you are to God?

5. What does it say to you that God keeps using the same script over and over again

throughout the story of the Scriptures?

Discussion Questions:

1. Tell of a time when you were unfruitful or unsuccessful and later saw how the LORD used

that to develop your character and faith.

2. In what ways has your life felt like a fallen Jenga tower? How have you seen the LORD

rebuild and restore people’s lives from this kind of fallen mess?

3. How does going back to your call from Jesus help you find your bearings when life is

disorienting?

4. How have you seen listening to the LORD and obeying His instructions make six feet of

difference in your life? What kind of full nets stories would you attribute to Jesus’

presence in your life?

5. Why is confessing and revisiting our failures such an important part of healing and moving

forward? How does Jesus’ series of reminders to Peter help him to become such a

powerful witness and ambassador for the Kingdom of God from the Day of Pentecost

onward?
